Privacy notice

Your presentation stays yours.

A practical explanation of what Fenot processes, how information is used and shared, and the controls available to you.

Effective October 26, 2026

Short version: saved decks are private to your account, one-off render uploads are temporary, the microphone uses the active speech engine while listening is on, and payment cards stay with Stripe.

Scope and our role

This notice explains how Fenot collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit the website, create an account, store or present slides, use speech recognition, purchase a plan, or ask for support.

Fenot determines how information is used to operate this service. If an organization provides the service to you, that organization may separately control information it submits or manages and should provide its own notice.

Information we process

  • Account information: the name you provide at signup, email address, authentication identifiers, account settings, and—when you choose Google sign-in—the name and profile image Google makes available under your authorization.
  • Presentation content: slide files, slide text, speaker notes, images, file metadata, and presentation-library records. Slide text and speaker notes are parsed in the app. Importing a standalone PowerPoint for Fenot’s audience view uploads it to our conversion service to create slide visuals, even if you do not save it to your library. Supplying a matching PDF or ordered slide images avoids that conversion upload. Files you choose to save are placed in private account storage.
  • Speech and transcript data: while listening is on, microphone audio is processed by the active speech-recognition service, remotely or on-device where supported. The service returns interim and committed transcript segments. Fenot uses those segments to match the active deck and navigate. The application does not intentionally save raw microphone audio or the live transcript to your account.
  • Billing information: plan, subscription status, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and transaction references. Stripe collects and processes payment-card and billing details on its hosted pages; Fenot does not receive full card numbers or security codes.
  • Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device details, request time, route, response status, usage counters, authentication events, and fraud-prevention signals needed to operate and protect the service.
  • Communications: your email address and the contents of messages you send to support.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts; store and retrieve your decks; render PowerPoint files; transcribe speech; match talking points to slides; process subscriptions; enforce quotas; prevent abuse; troubleshoot failures; answer support requests; and comply with legal obligations.

Where applicable, our legal bases include performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, your consent when required for microphone access or optional processing, and compliance with law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use stored decks or speaker notes for third-party targeted advertising, and this release does not include advertising trackers.

Speech recognition and audience privacy

Cloud speech recognition streams microphone audio through Fenot’s server to ElevenLabs. Fenot’s application does not save recordings, and shared speech-provider credentials stay on the server. If cloud speech fails or is unavailable, the app may automatically switch to your browser or operating-system speech service, which may process audio remotely or on-device where supported. The current speech engine is shown in the presenter controls.

Provider retention and any use for model improvement depend on the applicable service agreement and account settings. Fenot’s application does not train models on your presentations or recordings; this is not a guarantee of zero retention or no training by every speech provider. See ElevenLabs’ privacy information and contact us about the settings applicable to your use.

Q&A hold pauses automatic slide navigation, not microphone capture. Stop the microphone or turn AI navigation off to stop listening; previously transmitted audio may still be processed.

Because a presentation microphone may capture audience members, you are responsible for giving any notice and obtaining any consent required by recording, biometric, employment, education, or communications laws. Keep listening off when speech processing is not needed, and do not use the service for protected health information, payment-card data, government identifiers, or similarly sensitive conversations unless a suitable written agreement and configuration are in place.

Browser storage and security checks

When enabled, the optional phone remote sends account identifiers, temporary pairing metadata, public signing keys, and signed control requests through Supabase Realtime between devices signed into the same account. It does not send presentation files, slide content, notes, audio, or transcripts. Invitation links and locally generated QR codes are private pairing credentials; share them only with your own phone. Pairing state stays in app memory, expires automatically, and can be revoked from the presenter; provider handling of connection metadata remains subject to its service terms and retention settings.

Optional position recovery stores only an account/deck revision token, slide index, and timestamp in this tab's session storage, not files, microphone state, audio, or transcripts. Resume offers expire after 24 hours; the metadata remains subject to the browser's tab-session lifetime. Forgetting a position or signing out clears recovery metadata when browser storage is accessible.

The browser app stores authentication sessions and preferences such as appearance and speech-language settings in local storage. These support sign-in and your selected settings; they are not advertising profiles. Signing out ends the app session but does not clear every preference. Clearing Fenot’s site data in your browser removes locally stored settings and can require you to sign in again.

Authentication pages load Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent abuse. Cloudflare and sign-in or payment providers may process device, network, and interaction information and use cookies or similar technologies for their services. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Blocking these services can prevent authentication or payment flows from working.

How we share information

We use service providers for account authentication, hosting and presentation storage, document rendering, speech transcription, payment processing, transactional email, and security and abuse prevention. Depending on the feature, they process account details, presentation content, microphone audio, billing information, or technical and security data to deliver those services. Payment details may be collected directly on the payment processor's hosted pages.

We may also disclose information to follow your instructions, comply with legal obligations, protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable law.

Service providers may process information outside your country. Their processing locations and retention practices vary by service and configuration.

Storage, retention, and deletion

  • Account records and saved decks remain until you delete individual decks or your account, subject to backup cycles, security needs, disputes, and legal retention duties.
  • A PowerPoint sent for conversion and its generated files are held in temporary server workspaces during validation, conversion, and transfer. Normal request cleanup removes those workspaces after the transfer completes or disconnects; interruptions can delay cleanup. The rendered PDF is streamed back rather than added to your library unless you choose to save it.
  • Fenot does not intentionally store raw microphone audio or live transcripts in your account. Speech providers may retain request data under their own settings and terms; do not assume zero-retention processing unless it is expressly enabled for your account.
  • Billing and transaction records may be retained by Stripe and as required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or law.
  • Retention of operational and security logs depends on the hosting and security providers’ configured retention policies. Contact support for retention information or a deletion request; legal and security obligations can limit deletion.

You can permanently delete your account and stored slides from Account settings. A paid Stripe subscription must be fully canceled first; scheduling cancellation for the end of a billing period does not immediately end it.

If self-service deletion is blocked by a subscription or you cannot access your account, you can still submit a privacy or deletion request to support@followmylead.io. The self-service restriction does not limit any applicable statutory privacy rights.

Your choices and rights

You can turn listening off, choose manual controls, delete saved decks, update account information, manage billing through Stripe, sign out, or delete your account. Account settings can download a machine-readable copy of your account, plan, usage, and presentation metadata; original presentation files can be downloaded separately from your private library so large exports are not buffered into one browser request. Browser and operating-system settings let you revoke microphone permission.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to appeal or complain to a regulator. Email support@followmylead.io with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may need to verify your identity.

Security, children, and changes

We use access controls, private storage policies, encrypted transport, isolated document rendering, time-limited speech sessions, request limits, and other safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so keep independent copies of important presentations and do not share credentials.

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Organizations using the service with students or minors are responsible for any additional consent and education-privacy obligations.

We may update this notice as the product or law changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it. Questions can be sent to support@followmylead.io.
