Terms of service

Clear terms for staying in control.

These terms describe the presentation service, your responsibilities, subscription behavior, and the limits of automated speech and slide matching.

Effective October 26, 2026

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your access to Fenot. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. Acknowledging the Privacy Notice is not blanket consent to all processing. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

You must be at least 13 and legally able to form this agreement. If local law requires a higher age or parental consent, that requirement applies. The service is not currently offered for consumer use by children.

The service and your account

Fenot provides presentation import, storage, rendering, speech recognition, transcript-to-slide matching, voice commands, and manual presentation controls. Some features depend on compatible browsers, microphones, file formats, networks, and third-party providers.

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify support if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping independent backups of important presentations.

Your content

You retain ownership of presentations, notes, images, and other content you submit. You grant Fenot a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, parse, render, and otherwise process that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and present the content. Do not submit confidential or regulated information unless your organization has approved the service and appropriate contractual and technical safeguards are in place.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to violate law or another person’s rights; distribute malware; attempt unauthorized access; bypass quotas or security controls; scrape or overload the service; impersonate others; submit unlawful, infringing, or abusive content; reverse engineer protected portions except where law permits; or use the service to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about another person.

We may investigate suspected abuse and restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, providers, or the public.

AI and presentation limitations

Speech recognition, automatic language detection, context matching, and slide selection can be inaccurate or delayed. PowerPoint conversion may flatten or change fonts, animations, video, transitions, or unsupported effects. Fenot does not guarantee a particular transcript, language result, slide choice, or presentation outcome.

Review your deck before presenting, keep manual controls available, and use the listening switch when automated navigation is inappropriate. The service is an assistive presentation tool, not an emergency, safety-critical, medical, legal, or financial decision system.

Plans, payments, and renewal

The Free plan requires no payment card. Pro is offered at USD $19 per month or USD $180 charged once per year. The selected Pro subscription renews automatically on the same cadence until canceled. Prices and plan limits shown at Checkout control if they differ from an older copy of these Terms.

Live transcription allowance is charged in successfully started session blocks of up to five minutes. Ending a microphone session early still consumes that entire block; shorter sessions are not prorated. The server enforces each session’s time limit, and continued transcription requires another allowance reservation.

Stripe processes payment through hosted Checkout. By purchasing Pro, you authorize Stripe to charge the selected payment method for the initial term and each renewal. Paid access begins after Stripe confirms the subscription. If a payment is incomplete, past due, or unpaid, paid features may be unavailable and Free-plan limits may apply.

You can manage or cancel through Account → Manage billing. A cancellation scheduled for period end keeps paid access until that date and stops the next renewal. Cancellation does not automatically refund charges already paid. Refund requests are reviewed individually and remain subject to applicable law; contact support with the account email and receipt or invoice ID, never full card details.

Prices are displayed in USD. Taxes, if applicable, and promotion terms are shown by Stripe or in the applicable offer. Do not rely on a trial unless one is expressly shown at Checkout; the Free plan is not a paid-plan trial.

Suspension, cancellation, and deletion

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated breach, security risk, nonpayment, legal requirement, or conduct that could harm users or infrastructure. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export or remove content.

Deleting an account does not itself cancel an active subscription. You must cancel Pro and wait until Stripe reports it fully canceled; a period-end cancellation remains active through that period. Account deletion is permanent and removes the account and stored slides after required checks, subject to limited legal, security, billing, and backup retention.

Service ownership and feedback

Fenot and its licensors own the service, interface, software, branding, and documentation, excluding your content and third-party materials. These Terms do not grant rights to our trademarks or source code beyond the limited right to use the service.

Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses. See the third-party notices for the bundled example scene. This notice is not a complete inventory of all dependencies.

Fenot is an independent product, not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Microsoft or Google. PowerPoint is a Microsoft trademark; other product names belong to their respective owners.

If you send ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment, but we will not identify you publicly without permission.

Availability, disclaimers, and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Mandatory consumer warranties are not excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fenot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost opportunities, presentation outcomes, or lost data. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Limits do not apply where law prohibits them.

Changes and contact

We may change the service or these Terms as the product develops. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will provide reasonable notice when required. Continuing to use the service after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept them; if you do not agree, stop using the service and cancel any renewal.

Questions, billing concerns, and informal dispute notices can be sent to support@followmylead.io. Applicable mandatory law and consumer rights remain unaffected.
