Automatic slide advancement

An automatic slide advancer that follows your talking points.

A live talk rarely follows a perfect schedule. You might explain a chart longer than planned, skip an example, or return to a topic after a question. Fenot matches your speech against the current presentation so the audience view can move with your discussion instead of a countdown.

Choose context instead of a fixed timer

Timed advancement is useful when every slide has a rehearsed duration. Context-aware navigation addresses a different need: the order and pace of a conversation. Fenot compares the transcript with slide titles, text, and available PowerPoint speaker notes. A sufficiently strong match can bring a relevant slide forward, including a slide outside the next-in-order sequence.

Matching stays within the deck you opened. It does not search the web for replacement slides or generate new presentation content. Distinctive slide titles and specific talking points give it more useful evidence than repeated generic headings.

Prepare a deck for a live presentation

Open a PowerPoint or PDF in the app, review the imported visuals, and start the microphone after granting permission. Present the separate audience window while keeping the navigation controls on your own screen.

  • Use clear topic names and text that reflects what you expect to say.
  • Add distinctive cues to PowerPoint speaker notes; notes remain separate from the audience slides.
  • Rehearse changes of topic and interruptions with the same microphone and browser you will present with.

Keep a dependable way to pause and redirect

A Q&A hold pauses context-driven changes, and recognized question or resume phrases can help manage that flow. No speech system can identify every audience exchange reliably, so the visible Hold Q&A and Resume controls remain available. Explicit voice commands let you request the next slide, go back, or name a slide directly.

You can also switch off AI navigation and use the manual controls. Recognition and matching depend on audio quality, language, and how clearly the discussion relates to the deck; this is not a guarantee of a particular response time or a correct jump on every sentence.

Frequently asked questions

Does automatic advancement control my open PowerPoint window?

The standard import workflow controls Fenot's own audience view. You present imported slides in the app rather than assuming it is controlling a separate PowerPoint slideshow.

Will my original slide design be preserved?

The app displays slide visuals rather than restyling them as app cards. PowerPoint conversion can differ from the original file; pair the PPTX with its exported PDF or ordered slide images when fidelity matters. Flattened slides do not retain live PowerPoint animations.

Can I use a PDF without speaker notes?

Yes. PDFs use their extractable slide text for matching. Speaker-note context comes from a PPTX, not from a standalone PDF. Image-only slides offer less text to match against, so rehearse them or use explicit voice commands.
